Purpose of the guideline: The pre-hospital emergency medical service system plays a crucial role in the overall urban medical service network and public safety emergency response system. It is responsible for a wide range of tasks, including providing daily emergency care, responding to public emergencies, ensuring safety at major events, and facilitating the transfer of critically ill patients between hospitals. Utilizing advanced custodial ambulances can enhance the standard and quality of emergency medical services, offering the best possible care for patients in critical situations.Currently, there are various types of ambulances being used in China, each with differing levels of performance. However, there is no clear consensus among experts regarding advanced custodial ambulances. Therefore, the development of the Zhejiang Consensus on Advanced Custody Ambulance is significant in advancing the out-of-hospital emergency medical system and serving as a model for the construction of similar systems throughout China. This consensus will help promote the healthy growth of the industry and demonstrate leadership in emergency medical service provision.
